IILM Graduate School Of Management

I am an engineer in electrical stream. I completed my graduation from a college affiliated to Anna university,Chennai. My aim in life is to be a successful business manager in global world and to achieve this aim I need to equip myself with a combination of technical knowledge and managerial expertise. Being a technical graduate I wanted to enhance my career by doing post graduation in a institution which imparts students with eminent knowledge rather only concerned about placement.I applied for IILM-gsm Greater Noida. I was short listed from some five thousand applicants after extensive gd&pi .Now after joining the institution I am learning a lot not only in the class but also from our seniors. Here it is all about developing intrinsic value in a student by conducting interesting and interactive sessions in class as well in guest lectures. I am in an institution I deserved.

Getting into IILM GSM (Greater Noida) was really tough . I came to IILM GSM with high positive thought and ambitions but was unknown how to achieve it. Here the faculties are excellent and experienced which showed spell of hope to fulfill my dreams and expectations. Friends are too good and co-operative. During the orientation program I got to know about my seniors. They are really helpful and gave insight about many facts . I came to know and understand that how one can convert himself to become an efficient manager by taking responsibilities which enhance management skills so I applied the same strategy , waiting for a chance to make a strong identity of mine as success is not by chance but by choice. So I stood as class representative of my class and got elected . I was really happy to win the trust of others. Our college has lots of clubs i.e Marketing, Finance , H.R. and students get to learn by various events done by clubs. every clubs has office bearer who organize activities for us. Now I’m proud to be a part of office bearer in finance club. Really B-school concentrate in converting a normal guy to managers by various presentation, case study analysis, situation based queries. So IILM is giving all such knowledge where I can stand as a good manager any where under any circumstances.

Search for a best school B-school starts with all those keys things like going through a rigorous coaching session in coaching institutes, going through the ratings of the B-schools in the business magazines, madly trying to collect all the information about the b-schools from anywhere possible under the sky. This is how even my journey had also started from the day I had decided to pursue MBA from a good institute. Orkut had helped me a lot in this procedure where the communities of different colleges came into a lot of use. It required huge efforts and I know the importance of that effort can be very well understood by those who have faced this phase and got admission through a good B-school or going through such a kind of phase. Till the time the issue was concerned with taking coaching and searching madly about the information about the colleges regarding placement, infrastructure, faculty etc it was ok. When it came to the interviews which not only required a good knowledge about the GD etiquettes and strategies to handle PI but also the stamina to go for all India tour there came the actual patience. I am sure that the selection procedure of the B-schools make the aspirants half manager before they go onto pursue MBA. But my experience of appearing for the interview of IILM GSM was the most exciting.
I had made a long yatra from Pune to Lucknow just for the purpose of interview. There were so many questions that were going on in my mind. Is it worth traveling so long and then sitting for the interview? whether the college will be up to my expectation? And so on….. After the interview was over I was somehow feeling more confident about myself. The reason may be due to the proper management of everything, a very comfortable atmosphere in the venue, and the friendly ways in which the interview panel members approached. I was’nt sure whether I’ll be selected or not but it was the first time I was feeling good after appearing for an interview. Now that I’m all ready in this institute so I can proudly say that it has proved to be up to my expectation and all my efforts had yielded fruits. At the end it seemed as if the movie full of suspense, thrills, excitements and worries got over with a happy ending.
