Well friends, this is the most alarming time for every student who is in 2nd year of their PGDM. With their rigorous preparation, they become voracious to know their ability or to prove themselves in front of the corporates. And, the same situation is being faced by IILM-GSM students as they are busy with their interviews for placements. Some of the students have already proved themselves in SMARTCUBE, HDFC and MATRIX and some are still sailing in the same boat of preparation. CAT score is all it take now from this year.Earlier it was taking other scores also which is now not possible......the reason being improved standard in the teaching, grooming the students towards a global world.last year IILM-gsm's entire batch of students in no time were placed.It was Placements 2007 and continuing on its track record.Such was the brilliance displayed by the students that they saw their placement dreams coming true.
Its time to search and keep in track of all the b-schools including IIMs for CAT aspirants.Despite having a tough time in preparing for CAT and taking tests which improve confidence CAT aspirants have a lot of things to do like visiting different websites to know about their dream institutes.In that sequence IILM-gsm Greater Noida may be considered by them.
The entire process of getting into IIMs etc. unfortunately is one based on elimination
Why??
Because the numbers are too huge for any other basis to work. Out of the 1.5 lac people which gave CAT last year a good 1.2 just gave it for time pass or at least were not aiming for the IIMs . That leaves the other 30,000 where the real competition is. Now again after the calls have been given, in most cases the higher Percentiles will get through because the maximum weightage in any Selection process is for the CAT score itself. So in effect the Group Discussions/interviews too are to remove the bad attitude, communication problem or panicky types from the process.
Though all these process are being practiced over here in IILM-gsm also it really matters a lot to apply for & check out their dream in a good b-school.
